OUR COACHES
ZACH HOLDEN
OWNER | CROSSFIT LVL 2 | BURGENER STRENGTH L1
Zach was introduced to CrossFit in 2009 and in 2010 his mom opened up an affiliate. It was there that Zach’s love for the sport blossomed and he eventually became a coach. He has been coaching for 7+ years and has his CrossFit L2 certification.
Growing up in Beaverton, Oregon, Zach played all different sports but focused more on soccer and track as he got older. After graduating high school, he attended Portland Community College and got his degree in Exercise Science. After college, Zach spent time as a CrossFit coach, track coach, and a strength and conditioning coach for a collegiate rowing team. He also has been personal training for the last 7+ years to help others achieve their goals.
In his off time, Zach enjoys spending time with his friends and family. His first love of sports came on the soccer field. He still loves to kick the ball around as well as play other sports such as football, swimming, and many other activities. You will find him competing in local CrossFit competitions and attending classes at Iliad.
MELISSA QUANDT ANCTIL
TRAINER | CROSSFIT LVL-2
With 15 years of experience in coaching CrossFit, and 9.5 years of owning an affiliate, as well as 7 years of personal training, I've had the privilege of guiding countless individuals on their fitness journeys. My passion lies in helping people discover their true potential and achieve goals they once thought impossible.
Through a supportive community at CrossFit Iliad, I strive to inspire and motivate each member to push their limits, improve their health, and transform their lives. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or a newcomer, I'm committed to helping you succeed every step of the way.
When I'm not personal training or coaching, I love spending time with my family, especially my granddaughter. You'll often find me paddle boarding, hiking, walking my pups, and enjoying the great outdoors.
CONNOR DAY
TRAINER | CROSSFIT LVL-1
Connor is an Engineer by trade but a coach by choice. A native Oregonian, Connor grew up playing sports. Those came to an end in high school leading him towards something new. He started CrossFit in 2014 at CrossFit Reflexion eventually getting his L1 in 2022. He stayed there as an athlete and coach until their closure in April of 2024.
Connor enjoys teaching others about things he is passionate about. Connor graduated from Portland State University in 2021 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He has been working as an Engineer since. He loves spending time in the outdoors, all year round. Connor Attends the afternoon classes at Iliad.
AUBRE OLSEN
TRAINER | CROSSFIT LVL-1
Aubre has been in the fitness industry for 8 years teaching group fitness classes and personal training, while also working on her own fitness journey. She took a break from training others for a while and missed it too much, so she decided to get her L1 and become apart of the Iliad coaching team and get back to what she is most passionate about - helping others become the best versions of themselves.
When Aubre isn’t coaching, she loves spending time with her family and friends, being outdoors, especially at the beach or on a hike, and enjoys going to many concerts throughout the year. You will see her taking classes at Iliad, usually in the afternoons.
